Connector contacts, crimping and insert/extract tooling
A contact is drawn in side view, wire end at the left: the crimp barrel with its open bore and inspection hole, the collar with the colour rings, the retention shoulder, and the mating end.
REFERENCE ONLY — not authorized for maintenance, repair or return-to-service. A contact is only as good as its crimp, and the crimp tool, the die, the positioner and the go/no-go gauge are named by the task or by the wiring practices manual — never chosen from a size table. Insertion and extraction tools are part of that specification: the wrong extractor damages the insert it is supposed to clear.
